After Hours On-Call Service
Walk In Family Medicine Center
We are available to provide advice and treatment for urgent health problems (physical or emotional) including sudden, serious, and unexpected illnesses, injuries, or conditions which require immediate attention. Whenever possible, you are encouraged to call your primary care team or mental health care provider for advice during regular business hours. If you feel you need medical or mental health attention but are not sure of the urgency of the situation, you can call first to obtain advice from the nurse on duty.
What to do in case of an emergency
If you are experiencing a life-threatening concern, call 911 (9-911 from a campus phone) or go to the nearest hospital emergency room. If you feel you may need medical or mental health attention, but are not sure of the urgency of the situation, you may call first to obtain advice from the nurse on duty.
Most health plans require you or a family member to contact them when medically able (within 24 hours) to arrange follow-up care and confirm coverage. Consult Member Services or your medical insurance plan for details.
For your convenience, we have an after hours on call staff that may be reached at any time by calling 561-736-2000. No appointment is necessary. Walk right in. Most major health care insurance plans are accepted.
